Research Internship – Applied Cryptography & Blockchain

About the role

Chainlink Labs is looking for motivated Research Interns to help advance decentralized oracle technology. You will collaborate with top experts in cryptography, mechanism design, and distributed systems to solve critical research challenges and translate innovations into production‑ready solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify short‑ and long‑term research problems together with core engineering teams.
• Work with research scientists and technical advisors to design and prototype cutting‑edge oracle mechanisms.
• Stay current with developments in blockchain, cryptography, and related academic fields.
• Contribute findings to the broader community and help guide practical implementation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• Coursework in algorithms, data structures, and discrete mathematics.
• Familiarity with academic research processes, including literature review.
• Professional software development experience.

Required skills

• Programming languages: Go, Rust, Typescript, Solidity, Python.
• Tools: LATEX, Git, Linux/Unix environments.
