Sales Engineer – French Fluency Required (80–100% Travel)

About the role

ABB is seeking a Sales Engineer with strong French language skills to join its Motion business. The role involves spending the majority of time on customer sites, building new partnerships and expanding existing relationships while promoting ABB’s electric motors and variable frequency drives.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new business partners, dedicating roughly 80% of time to on‑site customer interaction.
• Provide technical consulting on low‑voltage and medium‑voltage electric motors and drives.
• Communicate the value of ABB solutions, emphasizing energy efficiency and CO₂ reduction.
• Maintain and grow existing accounts through trust‑building and stakeholder management.
• Monitor market trends in the drives and motion industry and contribute innovative ideas.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or technical training in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable field.
• Several years of sales experience with solid knowledge of electric motors and variable frequency drives.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 80% field‑based).
• Fluency in French and German.
