Senior Sales Engineer (80-100% time)

About the role

ABB is looking for a Senior Sales Engineer to join its Motion, Local Sales Unit in Morges. You will spend most of your time on customer sites, building new partnerships and expanding existing relationships while promoting ABB’s electric motors and variable frequency drives.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new business partners, dedicating roughly 80% of your time to on‑site customer engagement.
• Provide technical consulting on low‑voltage and medium‑voltage electric motors and drives, tailoring solutions to customer needs.
• Communicate the value of ABB products, emphasizing energy efficiency and CO₂ reduction.
• Maintain market awareness, monitor industry trends, and contribute innovative ideas.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or technical training in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a comparable field.
• Several years of sales experience with strong knowledge of electric motors and variable frequency drives (LV & MV).
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a willingness to travel extensively (≈80% field‑based).
• Strong interest in energy‑efficient and sustainable solutions.
