Sampler / Pharma Microbiology Analyst (80-100%)

About the role

Eurofins is seeking a motivated Sampler / Pharma Microbiology Analyst to join its Quality Control Microbiology team in Schönenwerd. The hybrid role blends utility and environmental sampling with microbiological laboratory testing to ensure GMP and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform GMP‑compliant sampling of utilities (purified water, WFI, compressed air, gases, clean steam), environmental monitoring (viable & non‑viable air, surfaces, personnel) and in‑process materials.
• Record all sampling activities in LIMS and digital batch records, and coordinate time‑critical sampling schedules.
• Conduct routine microbiological analyses such as bioburden/TAMC/TYMC, endotoxin (LAL), TOC, conductivity, plate reading, and basic microbial identification.
• Prepare media and reagents, maintain laboratory hygiene, support deviations, investigations, CAPAs and process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor or Master degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques, GMP principles and strong attention to data integrity.
• Very good German and good English; French is a plus.
• Flexibility to work in cleanrooms, laboratories and occasional weekend rotations.

• Bioburden testing, endotoxin (LAL) testing, TAMC, TYMC, TOC analysis.
• Gram stain and colony morphology identification.
