SAP Development Manager – Cloud & Extension Technologies

About the role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Development Manager to lead the transformation of our SAP landscape from classic ABAP to a modern, cloud‑ready ecosystem. You will work in a MedTech environment, bridging business needs, internal IT, and external partners to deliver sustainable, high‑quality SAP solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the modernization of the SAP landscape, moving from classic ABAP to cloud‑native, extension‑first architectures.
• Design scalable, future‑proof SAP architectures aligned with Clean Core principles.
• Lead and challenge external development partners to ensure secure, robust, and high‑quality delivery.
• Establish development standards, code‑quality practices, and governance mechanisms (reviews, quality gates, best practices).
• Act as the bridge between business, internal IT, and external partners, translating requirements into sustainable SAP solutions.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of SAP development experience with strong exposure to modern SAP technologies.
• Solid expertise in SAP BTP, Fiori/UI5, RAP/CAP, Clean Core strategies, and a strong ABAP foundation.
• Experience managing external development partners or leading SAP projects end‑to‑end.
• Fluent German and English (C1 level) with strong communication skills.
