Scientist QC Biochemistry - Chromatography Methods

About the role

CK QLS is recruiting a Scientist QC Biochemistry with expertise in chromatography methods to join a leading pharmaceutical company's Biologics Analytical Department in Lucerne/Schachen, Switzerland. This is a 12-month contract. The successful candidate contributes to the development of novel biopharmaceuticals and plays a key role in the release and stability testing of clinical batches.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and execute chromatography methods for release and stability testing of biologics.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of lab work in compliance with cGMPs and good documentation practices.
• Conduct method validation experiments according to approved protocols.
• Author methods, technical protocols and reports.
• Improve methods and troubleshoot equipment and procedures.
• Maintain and calibrate analytical equipment following cGMPs.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Biological Sciences or a similar field; or Bachelor's degree / Laboratory Technician EFZ with 3+ years of industry experience.
• In-depth knowledge of protein biochemistry and hands-on experience with analytical testing by HPLC/UPLC methods.
• Experience in analytical method validation and a GMP working environment is preferred.
• Strong organisational skills, excellent communication in English and German, and a proven team player.
• EU/EFTA citizenship or a valid Swiss work permit required.

Required skills

• HPLC/UPLC analytical testing
• Familiarity with relevant CDS software (e.g. Empower)
• Precise pipetting skills
