Senior Frigoriste Technician (CTU Field Service)

About the role

A field service technician for controlled temperature units (CTU) is sought in Lucerne, Switzerland. The role maintains, calibrates, diagnoses and repairs a customer's CTU fleet, from -80°C freezers to incubators and climatic chambers, and works alongside on-site Customer Service Engineers who support simpler lab devices. All work takes place in a GxP-regulated environment and may involve access to EHS-regulated areas.

Key responsibilities

• Perform temperature mapping and support qualification, and carry out maintenance, calibration, diagnosis, testing and repair
• Clean and decontaminate equipment and handle customer materials
• Record activities in the customer's CCMS/SMMS systems according to ALCOA+ principles
• Provide timely, quality repairs and maintain high-quality customer service
• Propose improvements to business performance and the customer experience
• Explain the value-added services process to the customer
• Write maintenance and calibration protocols in line with ISO, USP and other standards
• Support the on-site Customer Service Engineers with frontline assistance and qualification of simple devices such as thermometers, heat blocks, analytical balances and refrigerated centrifuges

Required profile

• Proven experience as a refrigeration or cooling appliance repair technician or similar
• Valid Swiss refrigerant authorization (VFB-K Art. 1 Abs. 1 Bst. B or equivalent)
• Swiss Federal Certificate of Capacity as an installer-electrician, or eligibility for or possession of limited installation licenses under Articles 13, 14 or 15 of the OIBT/NIV
• Previous GxP experience preferred
• Fluent business English and German; another language appreciated
• Valid driver's licence
