Semiconductor Technician – Cleanroom Operations

About the role

Coherent is seeking a Semiconductor Technician to support production, testing, maintenance, and optimisation of semiconductor manufacturing equipment in a cleanroom environment. You will work closely with engineers, operators and quality teams to ensure safe, stable and high‑quality production.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and maintain semiconductor manufacturing equipment, including setup, calibration and preventive maintenance.
• Support wafer processing, assembly, testing and inspection activities within the cleanroom.
• Analyse equipment and process data to identify deviations, resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Assist in root‑cause investigations and implement corrective actions for equipment and process challenges.
• Maintain accurate production, maintenance, quality and process records while adhering to cleanroom procedures and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Technical education in Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, microelectronics or other high‑technology cleanroom environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities with systematic work habits.
• Good English communication skills; German is advantageous.
