Senior Accountant – General Ledger (Europe)

About the role

Revolution Medicines is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its European accounting team in Basel, Switzerland. The role will support daily general ledger activities across multiple European entities and ensure accurate financial reporting under US GAAP and local GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day‑to‑day general ledger accounting for European subsidiaries, including cash, prepayments, accruals, fixed assets, and lease entries.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Handle intercompany accounting, settlements, and related journal entries.
• Assist with fixed‑asset accounting, depreciation schedules, and related reconciliations.
• Prepare VAT and statutory reports, coordinate audit requests, and ensure local compliance.
• Partner with Accounts Payable, Payroll, Procurement, Tax, FP&A, and other teams to resolve accounting matters.
• Contribute to finance projects, ERP improvements, and process‑standardisation initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably with general ledger responsibilities.
• Experience supporting European entities and working with local statutory requirements.
