Senior Accountant (Immediate Start)

About the role

VIG International AG, a leading aluminium commodity trader based in Baar, Switzerland, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team immediately. You will be responsible for managing the full accounting cycle in a fast‑moving, multi‑currency trading environment while ensuring compliance with Swiss accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform full‑cycle accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Execute month‑end closing activities and prepare reconciliations.
• Track inventory movements and associated cost accounting.
• Handle multi‑currency transactions (USD, EUR, CHF) and related foreign‑exchange accounting.
• Provide accounting support for FX hedges and factoring processes.
• Monitor credit insurance documentation and maintain related records.
• Ensure accuracy, internal controls, and proper documentation throughout all accounting processes.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and Swiss GAAP.
• Experience in a trading or multi‑currency environment is a strong advantage.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and maintain high attention to detail.
• Fluent in English and German.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills.
