Senior Accountant

About the role

As a Senior Accountant at Cobelfret, you will manage the accounting for the company and its subsidiaries, ensuring accurate financial records, timely closings and compliance with Swiss accounting standards in an international shipping environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle for the company and its subsidiaries, including analytical and multi‑currency accounting.
• Prepare annual closings and statutory financial statements in accordance with Swiss GAAP and the Swiss Code of Obligations.
• Prepare VAT returns, ensure tax compliance and support external tax audits.
• Act as the main point of contact for external auditors and support the annual audit process.
• Maintain accurate financial data in the ERP system and support supplier payments, payables and receivables.

Required profile

• Solid experience in accounting, ideally within the shipping industry.
• Good knowledge of Swiss accounting standards, Swiss GAAP and the Swiss Code of Obligations.
• Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Fluent English; French is an asset.
