Senior Aerodynamicist – Formula 1 Development

About the role

The Audi Revolut F1® Team is building its inaugural Formula 1 entry for 2026. Based at Audi Motorsport AG in Hinwil, Switzerland, we are looking for a Senior Aerodynamicist to drive cutting‑edge aerodynamic development and help shape a historic racing programme.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary Aerodynamics Development team to deliver performance gains.
• Lead major aerodynamic projects from concept definition through CFD, wind‑tunnel testing and on‑track validation.
• Develop innovative aerodynamic concepts within current F1 regulations.
• Analyse CFD, wind‑tunnel and track data to define development direction and improve correlation across tools.
• Mentor junior aerodynamicists and support wind‑tunnel testing, including night‑shift coverage.
• Deliver high‑quality work on demanding timelines while contributing to the team’s technical culture.

Required profile

• Strong academic background in Fluid Mechanics and Aerodynamics (MSc preferred), preferably in Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering.
• Significant experience in aerodynamic development for Formula 1 or a comparable high‑level motorsport category.
• Proven track record leading aerodynamic projects and mentoring team members.
