Senior AI Platform Engineer

About the role
Frontiers is looking for a senior engineer to own and evolve FrontiersOS, an AI‑driven platform that integrates with the publishing platform, data warehouse, Salesforce, Microsoft 365 and more. You will work across the full stack, from backend infrastructure to frontend access surfaces, enabling AI agents to automate repetitive tasks and empower business users.
Key responsibilities
- Own major areas of FrontiersOS end‑to‑end, defining architecture, roadmap and operating them across backend, frontend, model orchestration and access surfaces.
- Architect for reliability and scale by setting SLOs, building observability and participating in incident response.
- Implement security and governance from day one, including permissions, credential handling and audit trails.
- Raise the quality bar through code and design reviews, design docs and mentorship.
- Enable self‑service creation of agents, skills and automations for business users.
- Use AI‑assisted development as a default, reviewing generated code before release.
Required profile
- 10+ years of engineering experience with strong backend and infrastructure fundamentals.
- Systems thinking to understand cross‑cutting impacts of changes.
- Daily experience with AI coding agents and the judgement to validate their output.
- Ability to handle ambiguous problems, make senior‑level technical decisions and push back on unrealistic requests.
- Excellent cross‑department communication skills, translating technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.
- Curiosity and proven AI‑native projects (e.g., GitHub repos, side projects, portfolios).
