Senior Associate/Manager – Data Management Specialist (Cloud, Data & AI)

About the role

As a Data Management Specialist (Senior Associate or Manager) in PwC’s Cloud, Data & AI team, you will lead clients in transforming data into trusted, scalable, and business‑critical assets. You will design and execute complex data‑management, governance, platform and AI‑readiness initiatives, helping organisations build foundations for better decisions, smarter operations and sustainable digital growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead initiatives on data quality, ownership, metadata, lineage and lifecycle management to ensure data is reliable and ready for advanced analytics and AI.
• Shape and improve enterprise data platforms, focusing on data observability, quality and AI readiness.
• Translate business requirements into data definitions, models, transformation logic and quality rules on modern cloud platforms.
• Build governance processes, forums and decision‑making mechanisms that drive clarity, accountability and adoption.
• Create client deliverables such as target operating models, data platform blueprints, governance playbooks and implementation roadmaps.
• Support business development by shaping propositions, contributing to proposals, RfP responses and commercial discussions.

Required profile

• A degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics or related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
• Significant consulting experience in an international, client‑facing environment, with a proven track record of managing data, technology or analytics workstreams.
• Experience leading workshops and engaging senior stakeholders across business and technology functions.
• Hands‑on experience with data governance, data catalogues, metadata solutions, data migration or transformation projects.
• Fluent written and spoken English and German.
