Senior Back-End Engineer (Fintech)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Back‑End Engineer to help shape the future of global financial infrastructure. In a fully remote, fast‑scaling fintech environment, you will design and build resilient services that power high‑volume international payments, compliance operations and other financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for global financial operations.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, QA and designers throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Build resilient systems optimized for concurrency, idempotency, scalability and performance in compliance‑sensitive contexts.
• Develop financial infrastructure solutions for payments, treasury, onboarding, settlements and compliance workflows.
• Optimize PostgreSQL databases, including schema design, query performance, migrations and data modeling.
• Ensure platform reliability, security and maintainability through clean architecture, testing and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to API scalability strategies using queue‑based systems, authentication frameworks and modern backend practices.
• Support rapid product iteration by quickly identifying and resolving technical issues while maintaining high engineering standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience as a backend or full‑stack engineer in SaaS, fintech or large‑scale technology environments.
• Strong professional experience in financial domains such as payments, banking, accounting, exchanges, treasury, crypto or compliance systems.
• Proven expertise in backend development, object‑oriented programming, design patterns and scalable system architecture.
• Advanced SQL and PostgreSQL knowledge, including optimization, migrations and complex data modeling.
