Senior Back-End Engineer (Python)

About the role

ZYTLYN Technologies is looking for a Senior Back‑End Engineer with strong Python expertise to join its Geneva office. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will work in a flat structure alongside Engineering and Data Science teams to build and maintain the core services that power predictive AI solutions for the travel industry.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend APIs and services using FastAPI, Flask and PostgreSQL.
• Architect and optimise backend infrastructure on AWS for performance, reliability and security.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing with GitLab CI/CD.
• Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers and data teams to deliver robust solutions.
• Mentor fellow engineers and promote best practices in code quality and testing.
• Continuously improve engineering tools, processes and workflow.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience building backend systems, APIs or services.
• Hands‑on experience with Python frameworks (FastAPI, Flask) and relational databases (PostgreSQL).
• Proven ability to deploy and maintain applications in AWS environments.
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and GitLab workflows.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerised deployments.
• Team‑oriented mindset, highly organised and able to thrive in cross‑functional teams.
