Senior Backend Engineer – Java / Spring Boot

About the role

We are looking for a senior backend engineer to join our Healthcare Information Portal team. You will own technical decisions, shape system evolution, and deliver high‑impact features for a digital platform used by healthcare providers to manage patient data and invoicing.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement end‑to‑end features and services in collaboration with the Architecture Team.
• Refine and estimate use cases together with Business Analysts and the Product Owner.
• Develop domain and cross‑cutting services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Contribute to technology and tooling decisions for new solutions.

Required profile

• 7+ years of hands‑on backend experience with Java and Spring Boot in production.
• Strong software design sense and ability to articulate architectural decisions.
• Comfort with evolving systems, ambiguity, and shifting requirements.
• Solid understanding of REST API design and distributed‑system patterns.
• Experience with messaging, event‑driven architectures, and container orchestration.
• Proactive communicator who shares knowledge and drives collective technical growth.
• Fluent in English; German or French is a plus.
