Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer

About the role

At Valtech, you’ll find an environment designed for continuous learning, meaningful impact, and professional growth. As a Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer you will co‑own the development and operation of client cloud platforms and advance DevOps tooling.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑own the development and operation of the client's cloud platform (Azure, GCP).
• Advance the DevOps tooling: GitLab CI pipelines, ArgoCD, Apigee API Gateway, Backstage, Terraform, OpenTofu, Datadog, SonarQube, Python scripts.
• Act as the go‑to expert for Kubernetes.
• Drive and contribute to architecture decisions for the cloud platform.
• Enable and support software development teams in using the cloud platform and DevOps tooling.

Required profile

• Completed degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Several years of experience as a DevOps Engineer in a cloud environment.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and IaC tools (Terraform/OpenTofu).
• Hands‑on experience with cloud‑native technologies across Azure and GCP.
• Solid Python programming skills.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
