Senior Controlling & Reporting Specialist (m/f/d)

About the role

nemensis AG, a recruitment partner in the Life Sciences sector based in Basel, is offering a 12-month temporary placement for a Senior Controlling & Reporting Specialist in Lucerne, Switzerland. The client is a globally active healthcare company specialising in women's health, with operations in more than 60 countries and a portfolio of medicines and biosimilars.

Key responsibilities

• Own the month-end closing for assigned legal entities, including accurate Swiss GAAP FER and tax-related ledger adjustments
• Prepare financial statements under US GAAP, IFRS, Swiss GAAP and Swiss GAAP FER, and act as main contact for Swiss GAAP FER audits
• Coordinate audit documentation and liaise with external auditors to meet tight reporting deadlines
• Drive legal entity integration projects and support the accounting setup for new business activities
• Work closely with the Tax team on recurring tax matters and ledger adjustments
• Manage the orderly wind-down of an international inventory hub in Latin America
• Maintain a robust internal control environment through local control procedures aligned with corporate standards
• Partner with cross-functional finance teams and drive continuous process improvements

Required profile

• Degree in Finance or Accounting (Bachelor's or Master's)
• At least ten years of experience in accounting or finance within a corporate environment
• A Chartered Accountant qualification is an advantage
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, and the ability to take on new projects at short notice

Required skills

• Expertise in financial reporting and accounting standards
• Practical experience with SAP S/4HANA and advanced Excel skills are a plus
