Senior Credit Risk Specialist

About the role

The Senior Credit Risk Specialist will safeguard Acer’s cash flow by evaluating customer creditworthiness, setting appropriate credit limits, and actively managing trade credit risk across multiple markets. This role balances commercial opportunities with disciplined risk‑taking to minimise bad debt and ensure sales are converted into cash.

Key responsibilities

• Approve new customers by obtaining and analysing financial statements.
• Conduct credit risk analysis (ARC) and continuous risk evaluation.
• Manage credit limits, credit holds, and order release approvals.
• Oversee uninsured risk, collateral arrangements (e.g., bank guarantees, performance guarantees), and captive risk.
• Administer payment terms, DDE approvals, and TCI sales declarations.
• Supervise the BDR process in line with CRM policy.
• Maintain and communicate the credit risk policy, provide macro‑economic outlooks, and handle audit requests.
• Coordinate with internal commercial, finance, treasury, legal and compliance teams as well as external customers, insurers, brokers and rating agencies.
• Prepare and submit various risk reports (regional, global, high‑risk accounts, loan qualification, etc.).

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with extensive experience in credit risk management.
• Strong analytical ability to assess financial statements and credit risk indicators.
• Proven track record of managing credit limits, collateral, and risk‑mitigation processes.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Required skills

• Credit risk analysis (ARC) methodology.
• Knowledge of credit limit management, credit hold procedures, and collateral instruments.
• Familiarity with audit processes and macro‑economic impact assessment.
