Senior Designer - Aircraft Cabin Structures

About the role

AYES Switzerland, an engineering and technology consulting company based in Baden, is looking for a Senior Designer for cabin structures in Lucerne. The position is permanent and full-time, and the salary will be discussed during the recruitment process, taking into account seniority and responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop metallic structures for aircraft cabins, covering ATA Chapter 53.
• Perform detailed 3D modelling and generate 2D technical drawings using Siemens NX.
• Support structural design from concept development through prototyping and production.
• Apply Design for Manufacturing (DfM) principles to ensure efficient manufacturing and assembly.
• Work with stress engineering, manufacturing and certification teams to meet technical requirements.

Required profile

• At least 10 years of experience in aircraft structural design, particularly metallic structures.
• Proven experience in aircraft cabin structures, especially ATA Chapter 53.
• Knowledge of CS-23 / Part 23 certification requirements.
• Experience in detail design, prototyping, product development and DfM.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary engineering teams, with good communication skills and a problem-solving attitude.
• Good command of English.
