Senior DevOps Engineer (Zurich, Switzerland)

About the role

As part of vector8’s growth, we are strengthening our DevOps capability in Zurich. The Senior DevOps Engineer will design, build and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on Azure and AWS, supporting AI‑driven solutions for Swiss banking and insurance clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on Azure and AWS.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Manage container orchestration and GitOps with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Implement infrastructure as code with Terraform, Ansible and related tools.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and ensure high availability.
• Collaborate with development teams and cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of commercial experience with Azure and/or AWS.
• Strong proficiency with Kubernetes, Docker and micro‑services architecture.
• Professional level German and English (C1) and experience in client‑facing consultancy, preferably in Swiss banking/insurance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
