Senior Director, International Fulfillment

About the role

The Senior Director, International Fulfillment will lead Baxter’s global fulfillment organization across CEEMEA, LATAM, ANZ and Greater Asia. Based in Zurich, this leader integrates end‑to‑end supply chain execution and partners with commercial, manufacturing, finance and digital teams to drive growth, customer service excellence and operational performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the International Fulfillment strategy aligned with enterprise and regional commercial priorities.
• Provide executive leadership for distribution, warehousing, transportation, import/export, regional deployment and third‑party logistics.
• Coordinate end‑to‑end execution across commercial, planning, manufacturing, procurement, quality, regulatory and logistics functions.
• Partner with regional commercial organizations to support market expansion, new product launches and revenue growth.
• Lead transformation initiatives using digital supply chain, AI, automation, advanced analytics and Lean/Operational Excellence.
• Develop proactive risk mitigation strategies for geopolitical, regulatory and supply disruptions.
• Own fulfillment financial performance, driving cost optimization, inventory efficiency and working‑capital improvements.
• Build a high‑performing international team, fostering leadership development and a culture of accountability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive supply chain, fulfillment or logistics leadership experience with significant international responsibility.
• 8+ years of experience managing large, geographically dispersed teams.
• Proven track record of delivering customer service, logistics performance and financial results in a global supply chain.
• Experience leading large‑scale digital transformation and automation initiatives.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing operating budgets and working‑capital improvements.

Required skills

• APICS/ASCM certifications such as CPIM, CSCP or CLTD.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent.
• Knowledge of international trade compliance, customs regulations and global transportation networks.
