Senior Director, Planning Systems & Processes

About the role

The Senior Director, Planning Systems & Processes leads the global strategy, operating model and transformation roadmap for supply chain planning systems, data and end‑to‑end processes within Johnson & Johnson’s Orthopedics business. Reporting to the Vice President of Supply Chain Planning, this role partners with senior leaders across Planning, Commercial, Finance, Digital, IT and Quality to deliver scalable capabilities and drive the transition to a unified Advanced Planning System (APS) and ERP‑enabled planning model.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the multi‑year global strategy, target architecture and investment roadmap for planning systems and processes.
• Lead selection, design, implementation and adoption of a single enterprise APS covering demand, supply, inventory, capacity and scenario planning.
• Partner with ERP leadership to integrate planning requirements and ensure a seamless end‑to‑end solution.
• Provide executive governance for Company Separation, managing readiness, risk, cut‑over and Day 1 transition.
• Establish global process ownership and governance for demand, supply, production, distribution, inventory and capacity planning.
• Standardize and document end‑to‑end planning processes across regions, eliminating local deviations.
• Drive digital enablement, advanced analytics, automation and responsible AI use cases to reduce manual work and advance autonomous planning.

Required profile

• Extensive experience leading global supply chain planning transformations in large, complex organizations.
• Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders across functions and drive cross‑functional governance.
• Strong leadership skills to build and develop high‑performing global teams of process owners, product owners and program leaders.
• Experience managing large‑scale technology implementations, vendor relationships and regulatory compliance.
