Senior Electrical Engineer

About the role

Lead electrical engineering for Waste‑to‑X plants, translating client specifications and regulatory requirements into robust power system designs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop electrical concepts, single‑line diagrams and system architecture.
• Perform power system studies (short‑circuit, load flow, protection coordination) using DigSilent, ETAP or PowerFactory.
• Size and specify transformers, HV/MV/LV switchgear, UPS and instrument transformers.
• Coordinate cable routing and equipment placement with plant layout planners.
• Prepare technical specifications, evaluate supplier bids and support vendor selection.
• Lead design reviews with clients and network operators.
• Act as product owner for electrical systems, mentor junior engineers and define processes.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in power systems and industrial plant design.
• Proficiency with power system analysis tools (DigSilent, ETAP, PowerFactory) and relay configuration software (Siemens DIGSI, IEC 61850).
• Strong ability to read, interpret and create electrical schematics and documentation.
• Familiarity with engineering tools such as EPLAN and Siemens SIMARIS (preferred).
• Understanding of project scheduling, cost awareness and deliverable management.
• High autonomy, English fluency and solid technical writing skills.
