Senior Sourcing Specialist

About the role

Wingtra is seeking a Senior Sourcing Specialist to lead the end‑to‑end sourcing process for hardware components across multiple commodities. You will work closely with R&D, Production, Finance and Compliance to ensure reliable supplier partnerships and cost‑effective procurement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop sourcing plans based on bill of materials, evaluating criticality, lead times and single/dual source options.
• Conduct market scans, issue RFIs/RFQs, shortlist and qualify suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, volume tiers, tooling, payment terms and establish NDAs and long‑term agreements.
• Onboard new suppliers, maintain vendor data, price breaks and lead times in the ERP system.
• Lead tiered supplier qualification, including quality agreements and first‑article inspections.
• Perform on‑site and remote audits for quality management, traceability, compliance and trade regulations.
• Place and expedite orders for prototype, validation, pilot and pre‑series builds while tracking delivery, price and quality performance.
• Drive cost‑reduction initiatives using should‑cost and landed‑cost models.
• Expand the supplier base to additional production sites and regions, reusing qualification records.
• Document sourcing processes, templates and playbooks for team use.

Required profile

• 6+ years of sourcing, purchasing or new product introduction experience for hardware products.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications and collaborate closely with engineers.
• Willingness to travel regularly, including international trips of several days.
• Hands‑on supplier audit experience or work within an ISO 9001 quality management system.
• Working knowledge of trade compliance rules.
• Experience using an ERP system for purchasing and vendor data management.
• Engineering, supply chain, business or related qualification.
• Excellent English communication and strong relationship‑building skills.
