Senior Engineer – Authorization & Core Services

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our Authorisation and Core Services team. You will design, build and evolve foundational backend services that power multiple products across the bank. The role focuses on high‑performance, secure, cloud‑native solutions in a fast‑moving digital‑asset environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services using Java, Quarkus (or Spring Boot) and PostgreSQL.
• Build event‑driven architectures with Kafka and asynchronous messaging.
• Implement cloud‑native solutions on AWS, ensuring scalability, security and resilience.
• Develop authentication and authorisation capabilities (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT).
• Collaborate with SRE, Security and Platform teams to guarantee observability and compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience building backend applications with Java and modern frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services and cloud‑native architecture.
• Experience designing event‑driven systems using Kafka.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
• Hands‑on experience with authentication/authorisation standards.
• Ability to work autonomously and solve complex technical challenges.
