Senior Finance Director

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Finance Director to act as the trusted financial partner to the CIO of a leading blue‑chip technology organisation. The role will shape investment decisions, oversee technology spend and drive financial performance across the global enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Partner directly with the CIO and senior leadership on financial and operational targets.
• Own technology spend strategy, governing software, telecom and IT budgets and forecasts.
• Drive investment decisions through business cases, ROI models and capital planning.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting.
• Provide financial input to vendor negotiations and cost modelling.
• Lead M&A due diligence, integration modelling and synergy tracking.
• Build and develop a high‑performing finance team.
• Champion finance transformation through automation, analytics and systems.

Required profile

• Recognised accountancy qualification with extensive senior finance experience in a large, global business.
• Experience in technology and capital planning is highly desirable.
• Confident communicator able to influence senior stakeholders and present complex information clearly.
• Strategic thinker with a track record of building business development and investment plans.
• Strong people leader capable of guiding and motivating global, cross‑functional teams.
• Organised and able to manage competing priorities in a fast‑moving environment.
