Senior Financial Analyst

About the role

ECOM, a Swiss-based private group of 6,000 employees active in coffee, cocoa and cotton, is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst in Lausanne. The role plays a key part in the Group's financial reporting, planning and performance management, combining ownership of core FP&A deliverables with hands-on analysis, stakeholder engagement and process improvement. It reports to the Global Financial Planning Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Own key parts of the monthly management reporting process, coordinate the monthly close reporting cycle and prepare, review and rationalise reporting packs for the Executive Committee and the Board.
• Analyse monthly financial performance, variances against budget, forecast and prior periods, and review the accuracy of results including FX impacts and one-off transactions.
• Act as a finance partner across departments, regions and commodities, validating data, explaining drivers and challenging assumptions.
• Coordinate annual budget and forecasting, consolidate business unit budgets and forecasts, and support Group-level CAPEX requests and the annual business plan.
• Deliver financial modelling, scenario and sensitivity analysis, and analysis for strategic projects such as investment analysis, asset valuation and cash flow analysis.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, models and analytical tools, and simplify, standardise and automate recurring reporting.
• Contribute to the evolution of the FP&A operating model, support the implementation of financial planning, reporting and business intelligence systems, and lead process improvement workstreams.

Required profile

• 5 to 7 years of experience in FP&A, financial reporting, controlling, audit, corporate finance or a related function, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Strong accounting fundamentals and practical experience in budgeting, forecasting, monthly reporting and performance analysis.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet demanding deadlines with high accuracy.
• Fluent in English; a professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA is an advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
• Power BI, PAX, OneStream or comparable planning and reporting systems are an advantage.
