Senior Financial Controller – Fund Investments

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Financial Controller to join the fund investment team of a leading international bank in Zurich. The role focuses on delivering accurate financial analysis, reporting, and strategic support for the fund business.

Key responsibilities

• Perform financial analysis and prepare comprehensive reports for fund management, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Manage budgets, conduct financial research, investigate complex scenarios, and produce transparent reports to aid decision‑making.
• Collaborate with executive leadership and accounting teams to drive financial planning and support strategic initiatives.
• Support the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle, aligning financial targets with corporate objectives.
• Review fund‑business processes by comparing contractual management fees with assets under management (AuM).
• Optimize departmental workflows through automation and AI‑powered solutions.
• Lead ad‑hoc projects as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Banking & Finance or Accounting.
• Professional experience in asset management, fund management, or auditing/consulting at a Big Four firm.
• Strong financial management expertise, including budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
• Analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work both on‑site and remotely, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with teams and executives.
• Proficiency in German and English.
