Senior Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

The Senior Forward Deployed Engineer joins Salesforce's delivery organisation to design, build, and deploy agentic AI solutions inside enterprise customer environments. Working in a delivery pod, you will partner with a Deployment Strategist to co‑create production‑ready solutions from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build AI agents and experiences, owning end‑to‑end technical components from architecture to production monitoring.
• Develop and integrate data pipelines on Salesforce Data Cloud, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer data platforms, and maintain performance dashboards and KPI reporting.
• Lead Proofs of Concept and Minimum Viable Products, co‑building with customers and sharing best practices.
• Identify platform gaps and edge cases, collaborating with senior engineers and product teams to translate business challenges into ship‑ready solutions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering or technical delivery experience, with at least one production system you can demonstrate.
• Customer‑facing delivery experience in consulting, professional services, or forward‑deployed engineering.
• Fluency in at least two of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time and thrive in fast‑moving, build‑oriented environments.

Required skills

• Strong hands‑on experience with Large Language Models and prompt engineering.
• Data modelling, API integration patterns, and cloud data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks.
• Familiarity with Salesforce platform, including Data Cloud and optional certifications (Platform Developer I, Agentforce Specialist).
• Experience with agent frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex is a plus.
