Senior Fraud Officer - Card Disputes

About the role

Swissquote, Switzerland's leading digital bank, is looking for a Fraud Officer to join its Middle Office – Anti-Fraud & Financial Crime Center team. The role sits in the card dispute resolution process and requires excellent communication and organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with the internal customer support team to resolve dispute requests.
• Process dispute-related transactions in the internal and card scheme systems (Visa and MasterCard platforms).
• Review card transaction monitoring alerts to flag or identify suspicious activity outside the normal pattern.
• Investigate alerts, notifications and reports and take immediate action to ensure compliance.
• Resolve issues on behalf of cardholders, compare alternative approaches and decide on the right course of action.
• Respond to requests about transactions and maintain all investigation records and case outcomes.
• Keep up to date with card scheme rules and regulations and explore ways to improve fraud strategies.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a banking operations department.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (mandatory); French is a plus.
• Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical abilities, ability to think out of the box and work within a team.
• Able to manage stress and handle high volumes of work.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Visa and MasterCard dispute rules and regulations is highly preferred.
