Senior Frontend Engineer – Angular

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer with deep Angular expertise to join Merkle’s e‑banking platform team for a BFSI client in Switzerland. You will build secure, performant, and accessible multilingual web banking experiences while shaping the frontend architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Design and evolve Angular application architecture, including module federation, lazy loading, and state management.
• Develop complex banking features such as payment flows, account overviews, transaction history, and secure messaging.
• Implement multilingual interfaces (DE/FR/IT/EN) using Angular i18n and ngx‑translate.
• Optimize performance (bundle size, Core Web Vitals) and enforce WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility.
• Apply OWASP Top 10 mitigations, CSP, and support security audits for a regulated financial environment.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional Angular development (v12+).
• Strong TypeScript and RxJS expertise.
• Experience with large‑scale production Angular apps and state management (NgRx or equivalent).
• Solid understanding of web security fundamentals (XSS, CSRF, CSP, secure authentication).
• Fluent German (B2+) and business‑proficient English; French or Italian a plus.
