Senior Global Access Evidence Leader - EU HTA Statistician

About the role

Roche is seeking a senior professional to lead EU HTA evidence strategy, embed advanced evidence approaches into clinical development, and shape submissions that secure patient access across European markets.

Key responsibilities

• Design and lead EU HTA evidence packages, anticipating EMA and national HTA requirements.
• Drive methodological innovation and influence HTA standards through networks with European payers and authorities.
• Lead complex statistical analyses such as network meta‑analyses and real‑world evidence syntheses, ensuring rigor and compliance.
• Mentor affiliate and cross‑functional teams on EU regulatory and HTA landscapes.
• Represent Roche as an EU HTA thought leader, engaging with key opinion leaders and professional forums.

Required profile

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in applied statistics with 12+ years of experience in pharma, HTA consultancy, payer organizations, EMA‑regulated environments, or academia.
• Recognised standing in the European HTA community with established relationships and contributions to methodological discussions.
• Deep knowledge of EU HTA Regulation (2021/2282), joint clinical assessment procedures, and national HTA requirements in major European markets.
• Strong strategic vision for market access and excellent communication skills in English (additional European languages a plus).

Required skills

• Advanced statistical methods: Generalized Linear Models, Survival Analysis, Network Meta‑Analysis, Bayesian methods.
• Proficiency with R, SAS, Python, GitLab, WinBUGS, JAGS.
• Real‑world evidence analysis and synthesis.
