Senior HR Business Partner – Corporate Functions (Switzerland)

About the role

Hitachi Energy is looking for an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to support its Corporate Functions in Switzerland. This operational, hands‑on role sits in a complex global matrix environment, acting as a key connector across HR and business leaders to ensure smooth, compliant HR delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR contact for Corporate Function leaders and employees based in Switzerland, providing day‑to‑day support.
• Ensure consistent HR operations across the employee lifecycle in line with company policies.
• Guide stakeholders through complex HR topics and connect them with the appropriate Centres of Excellence and HR experts.
• Collaborate with global HRBPs, CoEs, and specialist teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, balancing diverse perspectives and priorities.
• Maintain full compliance with Swiss employment legislation and local regulatory requirements.
• Engage confidently with works councils and employee representative bodies.
• Support talent, performance, and organisational processes in partnership with HR colleagues.
• Use data and insights to enable pragmatic, solution‑oriented decision‑making.

Required profile

• 8+ years of relevant HR experience, including HRBP roles within a multinational, matrix organisation.
• Deep knowledge of Swiss employment legislation and local HR practices (essential) and fluency in German.
• Experience working with works councils or employee representatives.
• Proven ability to manage multiple senior stakeholders in a complex environment.
• Strong stakeholder‑management and influencing skills with a pragmatic, solution‑focused mindset.
• High political awareness and ability to navigate organisational complexity.
• Collaborative approach to connect people, teams, and expertise.
• Experience supporting Corporate Functions or similar environments is advantageous.
