About the role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior HR Business Partner to act as a trusted advisor to business leaders and employees, driving people initiatives that support organizational growth, operational excellence, and business performance in an international environment.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic HR partner to business unit leaders, providing expert guidance on all aspects of human resources management.
- Advise and support management, employees, and employee representatives on HR-related matters, ensuring compliance with labor regulations and company policies.
- Partner with leadership during organizational changes, restructuring, and workforce planning to strengthen a project‑driven and financially sustainable organization.
- Support the review, development, and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and best practices aligned with business objectives and legal requirements.
- Lead implementation of new HR systems and digital initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and employee experience.
- Analyze compensation and benefits market trends, benchmark against industry standards, and recommend competitive reward strategies.
- Oversee recruitment and talent acquisition activities to attract high‑quality candidates in line with business needs.
- Develop strategic partnerships with universities and technical schools to strengthen employer branding and talent pipelines.
- Collaborate with management on training, succession planning, and performance management to boost organizational capability.
- Provide accurate HR reporting, workforce analytics, and KPIs to enable data‑driven decision‑making.
Required profile
- University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Law or related field; HR specialization preferred.
- 6‑7 years of progressive HR experience as an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Generalist or similar role.
- Experience in construction, infrastructure, engineering, industrial or project‑based sectors is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management, compensation & benefits, talent acquisition, organizational development and payroll.
- Proven experience supporting organizational transformation, change management and business restructuring.
- Ability to influence and coach managers at various levels.
- Experience in an international, multicultural or matrix organization.
- Strong analytical capabilities with experience leveraging HR data and metrics.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in Swiss‑German and English; additional languages are a plus.
