Senior HVAC Engineer – Pharmaceutical & Biotech Projects

About the role

Exyte is looking for a Senior HVAC Engineer who will design and support the implementation of building services systems, with a focus on HVAC, for challenging pharmaceutical and biotechnology projects. The engineer supports projects through all phases, from concept development to commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Design and sizing of ventilation and air conditioning systems in GMP-regulated environments
• Design of room air and process air systems
• Design of heating, cooling, steam and condensate systems
• Design of sanitary systems and utility supply systems
• Prepare concepts, specifications and technical calculations
• Coordinate HVAC disciplines with internal and external project stakeholders
• Support feasibility studies, tenders and procurement processes
• Take part in cost estimates and proposal preparation
• Ensure compliance with GMP, quality and safety requirements

Required profile

• Degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Building Engineering, Energy and Environmental Engineering or a comparable qualification
• Professional experience in a similar role or several years of experience in HVAC system design
• Experience in ventilation design, ideally in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or GMP-regulated environment
• Fluent German and good English
• Structured, solution-oriented approach and commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration

Required skills

• Knowledge of relevant standards and guidelines (SIA, VDI, DIN or equivalent)
• Experience with CAD and/or BIM design tools is an advantage
