Senior Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

Rivia is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to own and operate its AWS platform, including EKS clusters, CI/CD pipelines, identity management and cost optimisation. You will be the first dedicated infrastructure hire, working closely with the engineering team and leveraging AI agents to improve security, performance and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end AWS environment (EKS, RDS, MemoryDB/Redis, S3, DynamoDB, IAM, networking) across staging and production.
• Analyse and reduce infrastructure costs, optimise the Spark data pipeline and manage backups.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines, developer tooling and Kubernetes workload stability.
• Run identity and secrets management using Keycloak, SSO and OIDC.
• Build AI‑agent workflows for recurring audits of cost, security and performance.
• Support external penetration tests and provide evidence for ISO 27001 and client audits.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on infrastructure or DevOps experience with deep AWS expertise.
• Production Kubernetes operations experience and ownership of complex CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or equivalent).
• Self‑directed mindset comfortable being the sole infrastructure specialist on a fast‑growing startup.
• Experience using AI agents (e.g., Claude Code) for real infrastructure work.
