Senior Internal Auditor (m/w/d)

About the role

Zurich Group Audit is expanding its audit team within Zurich's P&C and Life Insurance business and is looking for a Senior Internal Auditor in Oerlikon, Zurich. The role sits in the Group Audit business unit and helps shape the development of Zurich Switzerland, working with the audit team from planning and scoping through risk assessment, testing of controls and reporting. It is open to candidates with a strong audit background, ideally in insurance.

Key responsibilities

• Support the delivery of high-quality audits on time and within budget, using data analytics and GenAI and assessing IT fundamentals throughout the audit process
• Contribute to drafting impactful issue summaries and reporting that gives stakeholders in Switzerland key insights
• Build and maintain constructive relationships with stakeholders throughout audits
• Co-develop audit approaches with the audit team, including the use of data analytics, IT assessments and GenAI
• Take an active role in business technical, new world and human skills, applying a growth and learning mindset
• Uphold the highest standards of ethics and integrity and comply with all relevant standards, regulations and internal policies

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree, or relevant professional qualifications such as CIA or CPA (ideally actuarial)
• At least 4 years' experience in Internal Audit, Risk Management or Compliance within Insurance or Financial Services
• Solid understanding of Internal Audit standards, methodology and control frameworks
• Fluent English and very good German

Required skills

• Experience with data, IT and AI and their practical applications
• Strong project management skills

• Full-time or part-time, 80 to 100% workload
• Hybrid working, up to 40%
• No travel required
• Start from 01.12.2026 or by agreement
