Senior Lecturer – Policy (School of Population Health)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Lecturer in Policy within the School of Population Health at UNSW, Sydney. The role combines high‑quality research with teaching excellence to shape future public‑health leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct and publish impactful research in health policy and related fields.
• Design, deliver and continuously improve undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
• Mentor and supervise students, including work‑integrated learning projects.
• Develop curriculum and innovative learning programs in collaboration with industry partners.
• Build and maintain research networks across academia and the health sector.

Required profile

• PhD in health policy, policy studies or a closely related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
• Proven record of teaching at university level with evidence of effectiveness.
• Experience in curriculum development and use of educational technologies for online delivery.
• Strong research track record with publications, grant acquisition and potential for research leadership.
• Ability to work with industry and professional partners on work‑integrated learning.

• Continuing part‑time appointment (21 hours per week) with an annual base salary of AUD 161,619.
