Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join a leading financial institution in Zurich. The role focuses on complex financing, collateral and trading transactions, providing legal and regulatory guidance across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate complex financing, collateral and trading agreements.
• Advise business stakeholders on legal and regulatory aspects of financing transactions.
• Lead negotiations of GMRA, GMSLA, CSA and related market‑standard documentation.
• Provide legal guidance on regulatory requirements, governance and risk matters.
• Collaborate closely with front‑office, risk, compliance and operations teams.

Required profile

• Admission to the Swiss Bar; additional US or UK qualification is a strong advantage.
• Extensive experience with GMRA, GMSLA, CSA and collateral documentation.
• Strong knowledge of Swiss financial markets regulation and FINMA requirements.
• Fluent in English and German.
