Senior Machine Learning Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Member of Technical Staff, Machine Learning at ActAI, you will own critical ML subsystems in production, turning ambiguous problems into reliable, scalable solutions that power proactive AI applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship core ML systems covering data preparation, training, evaluation, inference, and iteration.
• Debug model failures and system issues using real‑world production signals, ensuring latency, cost, reliability, and safety constraints are met.
• Collaborate closely with research, product, and engineering teams to deliver measurable user impact.
• Mentor and review work of other ML engineers, raising overall engineering standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and shipping ML systems used by real users.
• Deep understanding of modern ML model behavior in production, including failure modes.
• Strong production‑quality coding skills and a systems‑thinking mindset.
• Ability to work independently, own end‑to‑end projects, and iterate quickly based on feedback.
