Senior Manager, E2E Planning

About the role

The E2E Planning organization drives the end-to-end planning processes (Sense & Respond, Scenario Planning, Supply Chain Optimization and Synchronize Network) for the Innovative Medicine Supply Chain portfolio. The Senior Manager, E2E Product Planning builds the E2E supply chain configuration, defines net requirements, aligns master production schedules and inventory plans with inventory targets and manages short-term exceptions with a high degree of autonomy. The role leads a matrixed, multi-platform planning team through the monthly planning cycle and feeds into the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process. It is a hybrid position based in Zug, Switzerland, with alternative locations mentioned.

Key responsibilities

• Configure the E2E supply chain, define inventory decoupling points and replenishment strategies, and set parameters such as batch sizes, safety stock and lead times
• Align constrained production and inventory plans with product demand and represent Global Planning in the IBP process
• Resolve E2E issues within the STEM process and allocate API and bulk materials to avoid stock-outs
• Lead the planning team through the monthly planning cycle and act as a subject matter expert for E2E planning processes or systems
• Support business process improvement and change management, and work with Demand and Supply Planning, Launch Management, Manufacturing Technical Operations, Finance and Procurement

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; advanced degree preferred
• At least 8 years of relevant supply chain experience
• Healthcare manufacturing, supply chain and/or logistics experience, and multi-echelon supply chain planning experience preferred
• Experience working across organizational boundaries in a global environment
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a matrix environment with tight deadlines and to influence others without direct authority

Required skills

• SAP/OMP experience; strong communication, analytical and quantitative skills
• High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Desirable: APICS/IBF certification, Green Belt Six Sigma, and SAP R/3, APO, BW, OMP experience
