Senior Manager, Supply Chain Procurement - Network Transformation

About the role

The Senior Manager, Supply Chain Procurement leads all procurement activities for a strategic network transformation project at DePuy Synthes (orthopaedics), turning a critical supplier selection into a fully contracted, operationally ready and governable external-manufacturing relationship. The role owns the procurement workstream from final contract negotiation through supplier onboarding, implementation, ramp-up and stabilization, and coordinates the transition strategy for a complex product and supplier portfolio. It reports to the Director, Orthopaedics Supply Chain Procurement and acts as the primary procurement interface within the project team.

Key responsibilities

• Complete the external-manufacturing agreement with Legal, Finance, Quality and Supply Chain, covering pricing, cost transparency, payment terms, capital and tooling, and change-control mechanisms
• Onboard the external manufacturer and confirm the commercial model, including material ownership, purchase orders, sterilization and logistics assumptions
• Define the transition strategy for raw-material and component suppliers, including directed-buy, pure-buy or rationalization models
• Represent Procurement in the project PMO and technical-transfer governance, supporting equipment transfer, validation, ramp-up and ERP/APS integration
• Govern the awarded cost model and supplier cost-reduction commitments, and monitor run costs, working capital and capital/tooling exposures
• Secure capacity commitments and business-continuity provisions, and maintain the procurement contribution to the program risk register
• Set up governance for the manufacturer and component suppliers, including scorecards, executive reviews and escalation protocols
