Senior Manager, Tax Planning

About the role

Are you passionate about shaping complex tax strategies that drive business growth and innovation? As Senior Manager Tax Planning, you will support Novartis' Swiss Tax Planning agenda and act as a trusted advisor on tax planning, financing, structuring, transactions, and M&A.

Key responsibilities

• Support Swiss tax planning, structuring and reorganization initiatives to support business growth and transformation.
• Advise on cross‑border transactions, intellectual property structures and value‑chain developments.
• Partner with Treasury and Legal on financing structures, bond issuances and funding arrangements.
• Support tax due diligence, risk assessments and structuring activities for mergers and acquisitions.
• Prepare, negotiate and manage tax rulings with Swiss Tax Authorities.
• Monitor tax risks, support audits and ensure compliance with Swiss tax legislation and policies.

Required profile

• Degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, Law or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in Swiss corporate tax planning, structuring and financing matters.
• Strong knowledge of Swiss tax legislation and international tax principles.
• Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, due diligence and business restructuring projects.
• Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders across multiple functions.
