Senior Medical Director

About the role

The Senior Medical Director will lead clinical development initiatives, providing both clinical and general medical expertise from study design through product launch. This role works closely with global partners and regional teams to ensure successful regulatory submissions and market entry.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the creation of clinical development plans and protocols.
• Oversee study conduct, regulatory submissions (IND/NDA) and product launch activities.
• Provide medical oversight for clinical projects and act as medical monitor for CRO partners.
• Interact with regulatory agencies and present clinical data at investigator meetings.
• Identify region‑specific operational issues and develop solutions.
• Manage vendor relationships to meet regulatory timelines.
• Identify and cultivate relationships with key investigators and scientific thought leaders.
• Recruit and manage a regional Clinical Advisory Board when required.

Required profile

• Medical Doctor degree or a relevant Master’s degree.
• 3‑5 years of experience in clinical development or pharmaceutical medical functions.
• Experience with IND/NDA submissions and regulatory authority interactions is preferred.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
