Senior Platform Engineer - Virtual Platforms

About the role

Synthara is a semiconductor company developing ComputeRAM, a technology that brings processing inside memory to improve performance and efficiency for AI, signal processing and data-heavy workloads. It is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join its software team and own the virtual platforms used for pre-silicon software prototyping and HW/SW co-verification. The engineer sits between hardware and software, making them work together and exposing issues early.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain full-system simulation platforms (ComputeRAM, MCU cores, interconnect, DMA, peripherals) using SystemC, FPGA, VCS and Renode.
• Integrate RTL models into simulators and develop low-level firmware for hardware validation and stress testing.
• Provide stable development targets for software, enabling bring-up, debugging and performance evaluation.
• Develop low-level drivers, system bring-up code and reference firmware for validation and demos.
• Own the verification infrastructure: firmware-based test suites, cross-platform validation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Identify and resolve HW/SW integration issues proactively.
• Evaluate and introduce new tools and methodologies for platform development.

Required profile

• 6+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong embedded systems background (C/C++, firmware, drivers).
• Experience with simulators, FPGA prototyping and system bring-up.
• Comfortable working across HW/SW boundaries; debugs at system level, not just component level.
• Bias for ownership and problem resolution.

Required skills
