About the role
We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join a specialised Swiss high‑tech manufacturing environment that focuses on low‑volume, high‑precision machinery and advanced production systems. The role will drive the industrialisation, optimisation and transfer of complex production and assembly processes from development to scalable manufacturing.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and optimise precision assembly, alignment and production processes.
- Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) and design‑transfer activities into operations.
- Define, build, validate and continuously improve production systems and manufacturing equipment.
- Support prototype builds and low‑volume production environments.
- Drive process optimisation, cost reduction and operational‑excellence initiatives.
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement and Operations.
- Lead equipment validation and process qualification activities.
- Ensure efficient, scalable production concepts for complex precision systems.
- Support lifecycle management and continuous‑improvement programmes.
- Achieve high first‑pass yield, process stability and manufacturing efficiency.
Required profile
- 8+ years of experience in low‑volume, high‑precision manufacturing or machine‑building environments.
- Strong background in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrialisation or NPI.
- Experience with complex machinery, automation systems and precision electromechanical assemblies.
- Proven experience with sensor‑integrated production systems or automation technologies.
- Deep understanding of process validation, equipment qualification and structured engineering environments.
- Hands‑on mentality with strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Cross‑functional experience between Engineering and Operations.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills in German and English.
