Senior Sales Manager – Alternative Protein (Switzerland)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Sales Manager to lead market expansion for a fast‑growing, fermentation‑based food ingredients company operating out of Switzerland. The role focuses on driving revenue growth across food manufacturing, retail, and foodservice channels while promoting sustainable mycoprotein solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute account strategies to increase sales and deepen customer partnerships.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the alternative protein and FMCG sectors.
• Analyse Swiss consumer trends, market dynamics, and category opportunities to inform commercial growth.
• Translate technical product benefits into compelling customer propositions and category solutions.
• Collaborate with R&D, product development, and commercial teams to support successful product launches.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across customer organisations and partner networks.
• Create impactful commercial presentations, sales materials, and customer‑facing content.
• Support trade shows, industry events, and customer engagement activities across Switzerland and Europe.
• Monitor competitor activity and market developments to shape commercial strategy.

Required profile

• Experience in food ingredients, FMCG, alternative proteins, meat, or related food categories.
• Strong commercial mindset with a proven track record of growing customer relationships and identifying new opportunities.
• Ability to analyse market and consumer data to support commercial decision‑making.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment with a build‑from‑scratch mentality.
• Fluent in Swiss German/German and English; French is a strong advantage.
• Willingness to travel across Switzerland as required.
