Senior Software Architect – IIoT Platform (Netilion)

About the role

As a Senior Software Architect you will be responsible for the overall technical design of the Netilion platform, ensuring that cloud, edge, connectivity and hybrid solutions work together securely and at scale. You will define the platform’s technical direction, support key technology decisions and help engineering teams align with the long‑term strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the overall architecture of the Netilion platform.
• Align technical solutions with business goals and product requirements.
• Lead architecture reviews and support key technology decisions.
• Ensure the platform remains scalable, secure, reliable and easy to maintain.
• Establish architecture standards, API guidelines and best practices.
• Identify technical risks and manage technical debt.
• Support and mentor architects, technical leads and engineering teams.
• Promote consistency and collaboration across teams and products.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in a senior technical leadership role such as Software Architect, Platform Architect, Principal Engineer or Enterprise Architect.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, distributed systems, security, connectivity and data architectures.
• Experience defining technical standards and guiding multiple engineering teams.
• Ability to evaluate trade‑offs and make pragmatic technology decisions.
• Understanding of DevOps and SRE practices for building reliable systems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Capability to influence and mentor others without formal authority.
• Business fluency in German and English.
